I am the districts Instructional Technology Curriculum Coach and have worked in the district since 2012. I enjoy working with both the staff and students at Heuvelton to help them with their instructional technology needs. My job is unique in that I not only get to teach computer classes to students but I'm also here to help colleagues with any instructional technology needs. I like being able to provide opportunities for all ages to learn.
I hold certifications in Social Studies 7-12 and a K-12 Educational Technology Specialist. I completed my under grad at Utica College with a major in History and Adolescents Education. I tended to lean towards technology uses for my lessons during fieldwork and student teaching and during the last semester of my junior year, I had a professor who asked if I was familiar with the Instructional Technology masters program. I wasn't familiar with it but with some research found my way to pursuing it for a masters degree. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam with my masters in Educational Technology. I've worked for St. Lawrence Lewis BOCES since 2008 as an Instructional Technology Curriculum Coach and also taught 7-12 summer school for Social Studies. Technology is constantly changing and I'm always up to learning something new!
